Spectacular views of Old Town Ulcinj and the Sea

Pros: The view from our balcony was spectacular. We looked over the Old Town peninsula and the sea. The hotel was a short walk away from an excellent choice of restaurants in both the Old and New parts of town. The rooms were clean and bright with comfortable chairs and lots of storage space.

Cons: The steep narrow road to get to the hotel was extremely difficult to drive. It is not recommended for inexperienced drivers! Thank goodness there was a hotel staff member who was a genius at parking the cars in the small underground parking lot. It was quite a daily shuffle! The outside breakfast area needed more umbrellas to provide better shade. It didn't help that the staff were taking up one of the few shady tables during the busy breakfast period. The breakfasts could be improved with more choices. The staff in the restaurant need to be better trained. Inside the room the carpet was a bit of a hazard as very bumpy.

Pros: Wonderful location with a view on the sea and on the old town, what a dream ! I was welcomed by a very friendly man, who helped me with parking, luggage and who really ensured everything was all set. The room was beautiful, spotless, well decorated, with plenty of space and a beautiful balcony on the sea. Pool is great, with a stunning view, extremely clean. Sundbeds available. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice, good coffee, fresh fruit, etc... and you can take it on the rooftop terrace, no better way to start your day. Parking available, which is a great plus for the location. Hotel very close to the old city.

Pros: The view was breathtaking. It’s a boutique hotel and even though I went off season the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. I’ll definitely be back .

Pros: The hotel is absolutely stunning! Modern design, spacious rooms with beautiful furniture, great attention to detail, and a breathtaking view. The pool and restaurant are both very nice, and the private beach right in front of the hotel, with free sunbeds for guests, is a big plus.

Cons: Unfortunately, the service does not match the quality of the facilities. I had to go down to the reception several times to request towels that were not brought to the room, and upon arrival I found items left from previous guests. The lady at the reception and the parking attendant were very kind and helpful, but the housekeeping staff is far below the standard expected for a hotel of this caliber. Such a shame, because the location and amenities are truly top-notch. Highly recommend taking the boat trip offered directly from the hotel beach by Valdamos_Tours — it’s unmissable!

Pros: Amazing views of the sea from all of the property; reception, pool and balcony in the room for taking in the sun and the sound of the waves on the shore. Luxurious room decoration. We left early so we did not get to see the breakfast but the receptionist who was adorable made us up a picnic package herself so we could eat on our way!! Old town very close with many sea view restaurants to choose from.

Cons: Difficult to access on very last 100m of trip to hotel as road was very narrow with only place for one car and a garage organised by the parking valet as it was tiny+++. But as the old town was very easy access on foot this was ok for us.

Pros: We had an amazing stay at Hotel Maris! The staff made us feel incredibly welcome — professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and beautifully designed. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a stunning view of the sea and the old town. The location is perfect — just a short walk to both the beach and the old town. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety of options. We especially appreciated the lovely terrace where you can enjoy your meal with a view. Overall, Hotel Maris exceeded our expectations in every way.

Pros: We had an incredible stay at Hotel Maris. The location is absolutely superb with gorgeous views and the staff were so accomodating. Really impressed with the overall stay for a 4 star hotel.
