A taste of village life in Montenegro

Pros: If you are looking to get away from the crowds and experience a bit of village life in Montenegro, then choose this place. The property was very comfortable and cosy and we really enjoyed our stay. The terrace offered us a quiet place for breakfast in the morning with the cats and birds. Maja, our hostess, was fantastic and could not do enough for us. When we arrived, she treated us to some lovely Montenegrin hospitality. She also gave us a fantastic recommendation for lunch at Country House Dajkovic only 4 kilometers away. This is were we had the best vegetarian food in the whole of Montenegro! There is also a tiny village pub a few yards from the property run by the family serving local food and drinks.

Cons: There is not much to dislike. Just something to be aware of for anyone with mobility issues, the steps up to the bedroom was very steep.

Pros: The host, Maja, was incredibly kind and helpful. Kitchen was well equipped. There were many indoor and outdoor toys, my children were amazed.

Cons: Small details and finishing touches need more attention (eg.: the screws at the upper floor railing were too long and are poking out on the other side, the floor in the bathroom was dangerously slippery.)

Pros: Perfect with kids, my baby felt at home With the crib and all the toys !

Being next to a small river adds to the tranquility of the environment, making it a great spot to relax. It’s also an ideal base for exploring Skadar lake. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature!

Absolutely perfect!

Pros: Our stay at Woodhouse Maja was absolutely perfect! The house is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The peaceful surroundings and nature made it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommended!

Ein wunderschönes Haus in herrlicher Landschaft.

Pros: Äußerst nette Vermieterin. Im neuen Haus ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt.

Au calme et proche du lac de Skadar

Pros: Maja était très accueillante, réactif et serviable. Elle nous a acceuilli avec une boison et des douceurs faites maison. Le petit chalet est chaleureux, récent et confortable. Il est situé au calme et proche de Virpazar. Rivière où l’on peut se baigner tout proche. Wifi très bon et climatiseurs fonctionnels.

Cons: un peu de problème de communication car l'hôte ne parle pas bien l'anglais mais rien de grave. Les 2 lits supplémentaires à l'étage sont juste des matelas au sol.

Fantastische locatie met echt een fantastische host!

Pros: Fantastische locatie met echt een fantastische host! Dichtbij het prachtige meer van Skadar (echt een aanrader, vooral 's ochtends vroeg!). Overdag zijn hier veel toeristen te vinden, maar in Woodhouse Maja heb je daar totaal geen erg in. En aan het begin en einde van de dag zijn de toeristen weer weg en heb je deze mooie plek (bijna) volledig voor jezelf. Een aanrader is ook het zwemmen in de rivier met de locals (en kleine kikkertjes :)).
